The meeting of the management of Somon Air with representatives of AVIC INTL (AVIC International Holding Corporation) of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Tajikistan took place at the Somon Air office in Dushanbe. Representatives of AVIC INTL held a presentation of the Y-12E aircraft for the airline, where they noted that this type of aircraft is suitable for operation in mountainous areas and has the ability to take off and land on short unpaved runways.
The Y12 aircraft are light multi-purpose high-performance aircraft manufactured by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). The Y12 aircraft has 18-20 seats and can carry out cargo and passenger transportation.
