Somon Air signed the IATA Safety Leadership Charter

Somon Air signed the IATA Safety Leadership Charter and thus joined more than 20 airlines around the world. The signing ceremony of the Charter took place on November, 14 in Amsterdam as part of the Wings of Change Europe 2023 forum of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The document is aimed at strengthening organizational safety culture through commitment to eight key safety leadership-guiding principles. Abdulkosim Valiev, CEO of Somon Air: “By joining the IATA Safety Leadership Charter, Somon Air confirms its ongoing commitment to flight safety. Flight safety has always been, is and will be a priority for the airline. We are honored to be part of the overall campaign under the auspices of such a prestigious organization as the International Air Transport Association (IATA).” 

The principles of the IATA Safety Leadership Charter include leading obligation to safety; fostering safety awareness with employees, the leadership team; creating the internal capacity to proactively manage safety and collectively achieve organizational safety goals; creating an atmosphere of trust, where employees are encouraged and confident to report safety-related information; creating an environment where all employees feel responsibility for safety; regularly assessing and improving organizational safety culture and etc.
