On November 21, as part of the VTB Capital annual investment forum “RUSSIA CALLING!” VTB Leasing and Somon Air signed a memorandum of cooperation. In early 2020, as part of leasing financing, an agreement will be signed on the delivery of two Embraer E190E2 aircraft to the carrier.
On the part of VTB Leasing, the document was signed by CEO Dmitry Ivanter. On the airline side, the document was signed by Thomas W. Hallam II, CEO. Somon Air is today the dynamically developing national carrier of Tajikistan, based at Dushanbe airport. A company with a fleet of 6 aircraft operates international flights from Dushanbe and Khujand.

To date, Somon Air has successfully operated flights from Tajikistan to Germany, the UAE, Turkey, China, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. In the fleet of the airline, there are Boeing 737-300, -800 and -900 aircraft and Airbus H125 helicopter.
