Somon Air celebrates its 15th anniversary. On February 5, 2008 the airline performed its first flight. It was the flight on the Dushanbe-Moscow-Dushanbe route. Currently the airline operates regular flights to 25 destinations such as Munich, Dubai, Istanbul, Delhi, Tehran, Moscow, Almaty, Tashkent, Urumqi and other cities.
Over the past years, the airline has achieved a lot, whether it's a launch of new route or joining a prestigious association. Somon Air is a member of IATA (International Air Transport Association), approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and has a TCO certificate for flights to EU countries.
The fleet of the airline consists of 6 Boeing aircraft - Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900.
Somon Air complies with international flight safety standards, has been repeatedly audited by IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit), and also has Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) and Aircraft Management Organisation (AMO) Bermuda approvals, has a Boeing Corporation award and has been awarded the Brand of the Year award more than once.

The nearest plans of the airline are aimed at active work for expanding the geography of flights, as well as to increase the fleet by purchasing new comfortable aircrafts and to develop domestic and regional flights by purchasing regional aircraft.
