The delegation of Somon Air met with representatives of ATR (a French-Italian aircraft manufacturer) and Marsh (Balthazar Finance) Insurance company in Paris. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the financing of the possible acquisition of ATR and Airbus aircraft using the product (Non Payment Insurance - NPI) of this insurance company. In addition, the meeting was attended by Marsh's partners – AXA, EVEREST, Liberty Specialty Markets and SCOR insurance companies. During the meeting, the parties exchanged presentations, noted their intention to consider issues of further cooperation and continue negotiations in the future. The meeting was held with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the French Republic Ubaidullo Jamoliddin Mahmadsaid.
ATR is a medium–haul passenger aircraft manufactured by the French-Italian concern ATR (Avions de Transport Régional). The aircraft is produced both in France and in Italy. The number of passenger seats in the cabin varies between 40 and 50.
Somon Air currently operates flights from Tajikistan to Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, China, India, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Currently, the airline's fleet operates Boeing 737-800 and 737-900 aircraft.
